Ross Fortune is an Irish composer, producer, and engineer currently based in London. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Hons) from the University College Dublin School of Music in 2008 and began his career creating music and sound for short film, commercials and radio with clients including Renault, Irish national broadcaster Radió Telefís Éireann (RTÉ), and the Irish Film Institute.
In 2013, Ross began exploring the world of interactive media and video game sound. His work has since appeared in titles on a variety of platforms, including the global cult hit game Hotline Miami 2 for Playstation 4. This work was released as part of a collector’s edition vinyl box set, winning the 2015 Global Game Award for Best Audio, with nominations for a further 2 awards (2015 Golden Joystick Awards nominee: Best Audio, and 2015 Independent Games Festival nominee: Excellence in Audio).
Ross is an Avid certified Pro Tools operator, and began teaching music production and recording technology in 2009. He eventually founded his own registered sound training centre Secret Sound in 2011, where he continues to coordinate music production courses in Pro Tools, Ableton Live and Logic Pro. Ross remains active as a composer and engineer, with regular clients including Miloco Studios and Apple Beats 1 Radio.
